SATURDAY 29 JULY – 1.30 PM
Online Workshop
Join authors (and twin sisters) Sarena and Sasha Nanua, authors of Sisters of the Snake, for a workshop all about crafting stories from personal experience. They’ll be chatting about their own writing journeys and developing their craft as well as guiding you through some writing activities to get your creative drive going. Learn how to twist your lived experiences into stories and how to weave your personal history into myth. After all, what better inspiration does a writer than their own lives?
About Sarena and Sasha Nanua
Sarena Nanua and Sasha Nanua are twin sisters living in Ontario, Canada. Born on Diwali ten minutes apart from each other, they grew up loving stories about twins and magic, and began writing books together when they were nine years old. After graduating from the English and Professional Writing programs at the University of Toronto, they published the RIA & RANI duology with HarperTeen (including Sisters of the Snake and Daughters of the Dawn). They have recently completed teaching a co-curricular series of publishing and writing workshops at the University of Toronto, to help demystify the often-elusive world of book publishing.
