Maureen Johnson grew up in Philadelphia, graduated from the University of Delaware and has an MFA in Writing from Columbia University. She lives in New York City with her British husband and dog - and also spends a lot of time in the English countryside where she was fully inspired to write Nine Liars, and her bestselling essay-turned-book Your Guide to Not Getting Murdered in a Quaint English Village among other things.
